Bury VCFA was delighted to attend the official opening of the new Whitefield Live Well Centre on Albert Road on Sunday 16 August, marking an exciting new chapter for local health, wellbeing and community support.

The centre was officially opened by the Mayor of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury, Councillor Mohammed Tahir Rafiq, who cut the ribbon during a celebratory event attended by local residents, community groups and support organisations.

The launch event provided a fantastic opportunity to meet local people, showcase the services available at the centre, and strengthen connections between residents and community organisations. It was encouraging to see so many people come together to learn more about the support, activities and opportunities on offer.

Visitors were able to meet a range of local voluntary and community groups, find out how to access services, and enjoy refreshments from the welcoming Live Well Centre Café, which served a selection of hot food, snacks and drinks throughout the day.
