Role Description

Volunteers are at the heart of our Ramblers Wellbeing Walks programme, helping to create welcoming, safe and enjoyable walking opportunities for local residents across 10 walks taking place throughout Bury each week. As a volunteer Walk Leader, you will support participants to become more active, improve their wellbeing and connect with others in their community. The role involves leading or assisting on organised walks, welcoming new walkers, carrying out basic safety checks, helping people feel included and encouraging conversation within the group. No previous walk-leading experience is required, as full training, guidance and ongoing support are provided. Volunteering with the Ramblers Wellbeing Walks programme is flexible, rewarding and a great way to stay active while making a real difference to the health and wellbeing of local people. Whether you volunteer on one walk or support multiple sessions across the borough, you'll be joining a friendly team dedicated to helping people move more, meet others and enjoy the benefits of walking. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️🌳
