Role Description
Role Description: Fundraising mentor
What they will do:
Oversee the Big Picture: Keep track of what everyone is doing to report back to Family SEN Group Coordinator.
Run Team Meetings: Chair short meetings to catch up on progress, celebrate wins, and problem-solve. (These meetings will be no more than 8 per year, as we currently stand a meeting every three months should be enough, however this is at the mentors discretion.
Keep Momentum Going: Check in with the other volunteers via WhatsApp to make sure no one is feeling overwhelmed or stuck.
Be the point of Contact for the Family SEN Coordinator.
They do not need to do the heavy lifting of planning events, writing grants, or making flyers—their role is purely to guide and support the people who do.
They will have full free training and support.
Fundraising event planner X2
This role involves planning events within budget, attending them and welcoming people.
Fundraising budget role:
This person will not have access to the Family SEN Group bank, but will know the budget and make sure we stay inside it for all events, whilst also making sure we make money for supporting people.
Fundraising grant writer. X2
This role involves applying for appropriate grants, searching for grants and keeping a note of who has agreed to grant us money.
Eco warrior:
This role involves making all fundraising events as eco-friendly as possible through ideas and research.

Suitability: Suitable for 18 year olds and over
Time commitment
1 hour per week (more on event weeks)
