Role Description
Our family SEN group is looking for a friendly, reliable volunteer to help co-run our monthly walks. In this role, you will help create a safe, inclusive space for our community. While you will usually co-lead, you will also need the confidence to run the walks independently if our other leader is unavailable.
What you’ll do:
Be reliable: Arrive on time and commit to attending each monthly walk.
Be welcoming: Ensure all walkers feel safe, included, and supported.
Lead the way: Follow the pre-planned route and guide the group.
Stay connected: Use our team WhatsApp group to communicate any last-minute updates to walkers (no personal phone calls required!).
Represent us: Wear a provided team T-shirt featuring our logo and your name.
Who we are looking for: Our walks are designed for neurodivergent individuals and their families. We need someone who is patient, understanding, and adaptable to different communication needs.
Note: Volunteers are more than welcome to bring along their own neurodivergent family members!
Volunteers will not smoke on walks. Will need to do safeguarding training.
