Newsletter Assistant

at Bury Society for Blind & Partially Sighted People

Role Description

Volunteering to help create our quarterly newsletter for people with vision impairments is a simple but meaningful way to support others while giving just a small amount of your time i.e. 2 to 3 hours per month.
Every edition you help bring to life - whether by reading sections aloud so they can be recorded in audio format, or by folding and preparing printed copies for posting - becomes a lifeline of connection, information and belonging for someone who might otherwise feel overlooked. Your voice, your hands, your care become part of a chain that reaches people right where they are, reminding them that their community sees them, values them and shows up for them. If you’re someone who believes that small acts of kindness can ripple into something bigger, this is a simple and beautiful way to touch lives.
Please contact us and become part of a fabulous team that is making a difference – as well as having fun when we get together!
We welcome applications for either the narrating part of the newsletter, preparing hard copies for mailing out, or for both activities - whatever you feel comfortable in doing.
