Role Description

Volunteer drivers pick up members and take them to the arranged meal or outing in the Bury area. Lunch clubs take place every Tuesday from 12-2pm and drivers would need to be available from around 11am until 3pm for pick-ups and drops offs of members.

Suitability: Suitable for 18 year olds and over

Once a week at a mutually convenient time

Experience of working with a range of people, meeting new people, making a positive difference to people’s lives, reducing loneliness and isolation, and access to training. Mileage rate can claim is 45 pence per mile, along with an £8 meal allowance.

You will receive

Inclusion Statement: Volunteer drivers pick up members and take them to the arranged meal or outing in the Bury area. Drivers must have a full clean valid Driving Licence. Business Use required on Driving Licence (premium will not increase as volunteering as driver for a charity). Enhanced DBS Check required (charity will cover this cost).

Volunteers are asked to complete or provide: Application form, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, Reference(s), Informal discussion (may include an interview)

Activities: Befriending, Buddying and Mentoring, Driving (must have full licence)

Skills: UK Driving Licence, Other (please specify), Ability to interact with a range of people.
