The GM walking festival website re-launched last week, as we build momentum towards National Walking Month in May. This year the theme is Celebrating Connected Communities, shining a light on how walking can be used to bring communities together.
Although anyone is welcome to submit walks, this year the festival is encouraging walks that engage, or are run by:
People from the Global Majority, with a particular focus on those with Afro Caribbean or South Asian heritage
Women and Girls
Health focused walks, including those delivered in partnership with healthcare partners
