The Whitefield Summer Club demonstrates what can be achieved when we invest in the strengths of our local voluntary and community sector. By working together, organisations delivered a diverse programme of free activities that engaged more than 200 young people, helping them build confidence, develop new skills, make new friendships, and strengthen their connection to their community. This is exactly the kind of preventative, community-led approach that Live Well is designed to support.
What stands out most is not just the number of young people who took part, but the lasting impact the programme has had on their lives. Whether learning to ride a bike, building confidence through performing arts, making new friends, or discovering a new hobby, these experiences have helped young people grow and thrive. We are incredibly proud to have supported a programme that brought together local organisations, families, and communities to make a real difference across Whitefield.
