New Shirts for Bury Relics

Bury Relics are a walking football club based at Castle Leisure Centre. Bury Relics attended our first Sports and Physical Activity Network meeting in September 2025. During this meeting, John and Keith expressed an interest in getting new shirts for the team to help strengthen team identity and boost morale.

John explained that, currently, the club uses training vests and bibs during friendlies, which, while functional, lack the sense of unity and pride that a proper kit offers. A full kit would help players feel part of a team, enhance visibility during matches, and reinforce the inclusive ethos at the heart of our sessions.

Katherine, our Capacity Building Development Officer, supported Bury Relics to get their new kit through our Microgrant Investment Programme for sports clubs. The club received £600 to cover the cost of their new kit. They spent half on red kits for community friendlies and the other half on white kits for league games.

The new kits were used by Bury Relics for a friendly match in Ashton in February 2026.
