  About Our Organisation


Bury VCFA are a local infrastructure charity dedicated to supporting, promoting, and developing the voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) sector within the borough of Bury. Our grants programme helps strengthen local organisations, build capacity, and support projects that create meaningful community impact.

This pack outlines how to acknowledge our support and use our branding when communicating about your funded project.

 

  Our Logo, Partner Logos and Brand Use

To ensure our brand is represented consistently and professionally, please follow these guidelines:

  • Use the logo exactly as supplied, without altering colours, proportions, or layout.
  • Ensure the logo is clear and legible on all materials.
  • Maintain sufficient space around the logo.
  • Use the appropriate version for print or digital use.
  • You can use our logo above by right clicking the logo and selecting 'save' or 'copy'

  Acknowledging Your Grant

We encourage all funded groups to acknowledge our support in their communications. This helps raise awareness of local funding opportunities and highlights the positive work happening across the borough.


You may acknowledge us in:

  • Social media posts (We use: Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram)
  • Project updates
  • Printed materials and Event signage
  • Press releases
  • Websites or newsletters
     

A suggested wording is:
“This project is supported by Bury VCFA”

 


 

  Social Media Guidance

If you share updates about your funded project on social media, please tag us so we can help promote your work.


Tips for Effective Posts

  • Include a photo or short video to bring your project to life.
  • Mention how the grant has supported your work.
  • Tag us so we can share your post.
  • Use relevant hashtags such as:
    #BetterBury #CommunityFunding #VCSE or #LocalImpact
 

 

  Sharing Your Project Updates

We welcome updates at any stage of your project. These help us demonstrate the value of local funding and inspire future applicants.

You may wish to share:

  • Photos or videos
  • Case studies or short stories
  • Testimonials from participants
  • Key achievements or outcomes
  • Invitations to events or project launches (We can promote these across our Local Community Noticeboard)

  Press and Media

If you plan to issue a press release or engage with local media about your project, we can support you by providing:

  • A quote from our organisation
  • A short description of who we are
  • Additional branding or images
  • Guidance on wording if needed


Please contact us before publishing any press materials that reference our organisation.

   Accessibility and Inclusion

We encourage all funded groups to consider accessibility and inclusion when communicating about their project. This may include:

  • Using clear, plain language
  • Providing alternative formats where possible
  • Ensuring images reflect the diversity of the community
  • Making events accessible to people with additional needs
