Head of People and Communications (Persona Care and Support Limited)

Hi, I’m Laura – Head of People and Communications at Persona Care and Support Ltd

I started my career as a modern apprentice with Bury Council, which was an amazing experience. I had the chance to work across lots of different departments and learn from people who were generous with their knowledge and expertise. That early start gave me a real passion for working with people and creating positive workplaces.

From there, I moved into a permanent role in the Staffing Team within Social Services and was supported to achieve my CIPD qualifications. Fast forward a few years, and I’m now proud to lead People and Communications at Persona Care and Support Ltd – an adult social care provider in Bury. In this role, I look after everything to do with the employee lifecycle and work as part of the leadership team to make sure our culture is one where people feel valued and engaged.

I’m passionate about being part of organisations that put people first and create environments where teams genuinely want to be.

Outside of work, life is just as busy! I’m a mum to two almost-teens and a lively cocker spaniel called Roxy. We love spending time together as a family and exploring new places whenever we can.

I’m also a Guide Leader with Girlguiding. I absolutely love seeing the Guides grow and develop, build their confidence, and share their stories and experiences with me. It’s such a rewarding role and a brilliant way to give back.
