Digital Volunteer Lead

Role Description

Little Britain Anglers are a passionate local fishing and conservation club that bring new life, regeneration and activities to the River Irwell and nearby canals. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a volunteer to support us with our website and online presence.

We began in 2016 using paper membership forms and over the years we have developed an an online portal for member registration and a website with updates and to share the work we have been doing across the local area.



The role includes:



Updating website pages with fresh content and club news
Posting updates about conservation work, events, and match results
Adding or editing information on membership, rules, and waters
Uploading photos, catch reports, and community activities
Helping to improve the layout, navigation, and overall user experience
Keeping the online member portal up to date
Supporting members who need help accessing or using the website
Identifying small improvements that make the website more useful and engaging

This is a fantastic opportunity to play an active part in improving a local community organisation and helping us shape how we communicate with or members and the wider public.

Type of Activity: Ongoing, Suitable for individuals to apply, In person volunteering, Virtual volunteering

Suitability: Suitable for 16 and 17 year olds, Suitable for 18 year olds and over

Time commitment

This role would likely be 1-2 hours a week.
