Role Description

Little Britain Anglers are a passionate local fishing and conservation club that bring new life, regeneration and activities to the River Irwell and nearby canals. We are looking to expand our volunteer team and we are excited to be reintroducing our much-loved fishing matches in 2026. To help achieve this we are looking for a Volunteer Match Coordinator who has a love for the outdoors and a knack for organisation.



The role includes:



Planning & scheduling upcoming matches
Organise and collecting entry fees
Coordinating prizes and awards
Working closely with the committee
Preparing post event reports


This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the match calendar and brining anglers together for great days on the water.

Type of Activity: Ongoing, Suitable for individuals to apply, In person volunteering

Suitability: Suitable for 18 year olds and over

Time commitment

Each event will require a different amount of time commitment, it is estimated each event would require the following: 2-4 hours for the pre-event planning 4-6 hours for the event delivery 1-2 hours for the post event report and debrief

Availability: Ad-Hoc

Ward: Bury East/Central (Elton, Moorside, Redvales), Bury West (Radcliffe)
