Meet the Funder- GM Green Spaces (Bury)

Join us for an interactive online session outlining the eligibility and grant requirements for the GM Green Spaces Fund (Round 7) for organisations based in Bury.

The Green Spaces Fund can help with cost of improving spaces for people and nature in Greater Manchester. 

This session os for organisations based in Bury and will be led by Susan the Green Spaces Fund Advisor for Bury.

The Green Spaces Fund is suitable for:

  • Registered charity, community group. charitable incorportated organisation (CIO), residents association, Community Interest Company (CIC), a school or community benefit society.
  • One application per group/organisation.
  • Permission in writing from the landowner to deliver project on their site.
  • The site must be accessible to the public.
  • Your group/organisation has a bank account that has been open for at least three months (not a personal account.

What the session will cover:

  • What the GM Green Spaces Fund is – Purpose, priorities and who can apply
  • What’s eligible for funding – Including examples of the types of projects and costs the fund supports
  • What the grant panel are looking for – How to demonstrate need, impact and alignment with local priorities
  • Top tips for a strong application – Insight from funders on writing compelling responses, building a clear budget and evidencing demand
  • Common mistakes to avoid – What typically causes delays or unsuccessful bids

This session will help you to:

✔ Learn how to clearly demonstrate impact on physical activity levels
✔ Gain confidence in navigating the online application process
✔ Learn more about the 121 application support provided by Bury VCFA
