This introductory course is designed to give participants a grounding in social impact reporting, its significance, and the practical knowledge and tools to help you measure, manage, and celebrate the difference your organisation makes.
The session will look at different examples of social impact reporting from other organisations, different ways of 'doing' it, and then ask participants to apply this to the work of their own organisation.
- Demystifying the language of 'social impact'
- Vision, Mission & Values and 'Theory of Change' - how are these relevant to social impact?
- Understanding impact mapping (mapping outputs, outcomes and impact)
- Conducting stakeholder analysis
- Tools for consulting stakeholders
- Identifying indicators
- Writing meaningful case studies
- Collating and analysing data
- Communicating social impact data
The workshop will include lots of relevant examples, time for peer learning and the opportunty to make a tangible start on your social impact journey.
Who is this session for?
The training is for Bury-based Volunteer, Community & Faith Organisations, be it a small charity or social enterprise. We can only have two people per organisation attend. If you need more members to attend, please contact us directly to see how we can support this.
