Role Description

Are you interested in gaining the experience needed to work in a kitchen or hospitality? We have a vegetarian café, with a lunch service on a Wednesday. Our café lead creates the menu each week offering vegetarian dishes and cakes. We also have a Monday Breakfast club and Warm hubs on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are looking for friendly, reliable individuals who are interested in catering and mental health.
Role:
• Support our café lead and other volunteers in cooking meals for members.
• Help to get ingredients from the store.
• Clean, peel and/or chop vegetables.
• Help with washing up and other kitchen cleaning and organising.
• Help with cooking and prepare dishes.
• Help with planning dishes using vegetables from our allotment.
• Making hot & cold drinks for members
• Cleaning the kitchen and café.

Type of Activity: Ongoing, Suitable for individuals to apply, In person volunteering

Suitability: Suitable for 18 year olds and over

Time commitment

2 hours p/week

Availability: Monday Morning, Tuesday Afternoon, Wednesday Afternoon, Thursday Afternoon
